Overview
The Women’s Events Intern will play a key role in helping our team prep for several summer events, as well as assist in the creation and development of new events that will launch in 2025. The Women's events intern will gain experience in all aspects of event planning ranging from what it takes to launch a new event in the market, to booking travel, to managing a team of on-site volunteers, and more. This intern will walk away with valuable insights into creating, managing and leading events with 2,000 in-person attendees to simulcast events with 50,000+. Specifically, this intern will serve as an Assistant Coordinator in the pre-event planning and on-site event team for a brand-new event, Feast with Kristi McLelland in Minneapolis (Eden Prairie), MN, July 19-20, 2024.
Interning at Lifeway
The Lifeway Internship Program is designed to provide college students and recent college graduates a valuable learning experience where they can grow professionally, personally, and spiritually. Our internships offer significantly more than “busy work.” As an intern, you’ll receive professional development and leadership training, exposure to senior leaders, and mentoring relationships with professionals in your field.
Internship Program Details / Requirements
Interns will receive development each week
Interns will work remotely throughout the program with the exception of orientation and end-of-summer presentations. Lifeway will cover the cost of travel to Nashville
Internship applications are due by January 15, we will begin interviews once the applications are closed. Selections are finalized by April 1
This is a remote position in the U.S. with travel to Nashville at the beginning and end of the summer, cost for travel is covered by Lifeway.
Responsibilities
Participate in a variety of weekly team meetings to observe, offer feedback, receive assignments and glean leadership development principles
Participate in the development of new 2025 events and learn the process of launching a new event
