Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Child / Adolescent / Transitional Age Youth Outpatient and Some Intensive Outpatient Locum Tenens Job in the Greater Los Angeles, California Area

Details / Requirements :

Two locations within 15-20 minutes of each other in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Need 10-15 hours a week but starting with just 10 hours.

Preferably 2 five hour days per week at one location and the same schedule the next week at the other location alternating weeks.

Strongly prefer all onsite services, but 50 / 50 hybrid is a possibility with the caveat that the county may demand transition to 100% in person at any time.

For hybrid, the doctor would work preferably two 5-hour days a week, one onsite and the other tele health.

Hours : flexible between 8A-5P, Monday through Friday.

No call - not often but may get a call about a patient with a medication issue or significant side effects. They will Teams or text the doctor. Texted the current doctor only once in 6 months. The doctor will be paid for their time at the regular hourly rate.

Welligent is their E.H.R. - For tele health, they use Zoom.

LPT and MH assistants and specialists serve as added support for the doctors regarding scheduling and getting documents ready, doing vitals, follow up on anything the doctor is requesting, etc.

Patients : ages 0 to 25 - primarily outpatient but some IOP too. TAY 16-25 = 60%, and 40% child and adolescent. 10-15% co-occurring disorders primarily with their TAY population.

Require a Board Certified Child Psychiatrist who's willing to see young adults.

Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Credentialing takes about 2 weeks.

Prefers 3-6 months minimum assignments.
