Central Sterile Technician

We are looking for a Sterile Technician to join our surgery team! We are looking for somonis to work approx. 32 hours a week.

What You'll Do :

• Follows established protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, preparing and packaging, disinfecting or sterilizing, and storing medical and surgical supplies and equipment for various department; Adheres to standard precautions including the use of personal protective equipment; Follows safety procedures and manufacturer's instructions when handling cleaning solutions, supplies, and equipment; Operates equipment in sterile processing areas safely and according to manufacturer's instructions for use; Comply with organizational policies, regulatory and accreditation standards and processional guidelines.
• Inventory, receive, and restock materials used for supporting sterile processing services; Distribute medical and surgical supplies from sterile processing areas to other areas as needed.
• Responds to emergencies outside normal working hours (i.e. internal and external disasters); takes on-call as assigned
• Monitors, interprets and documents results of physical, chemical and biological indicators for all types of sterilizers used in the sterile processing areas; communicates significant information to ensure optimal safety and care outcomes for team members and patients.
