ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week over 9-week contract
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
  • 12 hours of on-call requirements in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
  • May be required to float to other locations : Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
  • 5 years minimum nursing experience required with at least one year of travel experience (FIRM requirement)
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Required certifications : WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Work in fast-paced 18-bed trauma level II emergency department
  • Handle 3-4 patients per nurse ratio
  • Responsible for drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments
  • Work with stroke certified, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
  • Use EPIC computer charting and Pyxis medication dispenser
  • Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Any color scrubs permitted
  • Must be hard worker, resilient, able to manage change well and work independently

The facility maintains in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff within the emergency department. The organization utilizes advanced technology including EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment.
