This position is responsible for managing, developing and motivating Sales Consultants, implementing sales plans, achieving company and / or supplier goals, monitoring, developing and maintaining account relationships and performing various administrative duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and motivate Sales Consultants.
• Develop a list of improvement or growth goals for each Sales Consultants and monitor progress.
• Provide feedback to all direct reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
• Educate sales staff to build / improve product knowledge and sales skills.
• Establish a monthly contact schedule with each Sales Consultants with a minimum of seven full day "work-withs".
• Provide all tools and materials necessary for Sales Consultants to successfully complete assignments.
• Develop and implement creative selling ideas within your team.
• Identify and assist in the training of your potential replacement.
• Conduct weekly group and individual meetings; attend and take part in the development and preparation of meetings and presentations for the division
• Implement sales plans and achieve company and / or supplier goals.
• Review sales versus goal progress regularly and address issues immediately.
• Assist in the development of brand sales programs.
• Monitor, develop and maintain account relationships.
• Direct Sales Consultants to recognize new account openings and opportunities in their areas quickly to create a competitive advantage.
• Work with sales group to identify and communicate competitive market activity in the marketplace
• Enforce the use of an organized master route schedule by the Sales Consultants to ensure frequent and consistent account contact.
• Develop list of opportunity accounts with sales team where additional management contact and energy would result in creating or improving business.
• Have an active role in building key account business and relationships in your team's area
