Summary / Objective :
The Account Manager position is built around strategic focus and long-term relationship development. The role involves managing a limited number of accounts to allow for meaningful engagement and consistent value delivery. Account Managers will operate within specific industries to build deep expertise and confidence in their offerings, supported by a narrow product scope that enables clarity and repeatability in execution.
Each account will follow a defined sales strategy, designed to be scalable across similar customer profiles. Technology will be leveraged to drive efficiency and sharpen execution. Oversight is intentionally limited to encourage decentralized decision-making, empowering individuals to take ownership of their territory and customer relationship.
Essential Functions :
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers by providing outstanding customer service.
- Maintain and expand client database within your assigned industry / territory.
- Research potential accounts and generate or follow through on sales leads.
- Sales Strategy Development / Implementation : Evaluate customers' profession and needs to capitalize on additional selling opportunities.
- Protect the company by maintaining approved profit margins and adhering to sales tax regulations.
- Follow procedures for new and existing customers, including credit applications, account limits, and collections support.
- Submit timely sales call reports and enter sales orders for dispatch.
- Occasionally assist warehouse operations including pulling orders, loading pallets, and delivering inventory.
- Attend meetings, complete Sphere 1 University training, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Managing back orders and ensuring customers receive their material.
- Ownership of the sales process from start to finish.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment :
Office and warehouse environments with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.Frequent visits to the customer locationsUse of office equipment (computer, printer, etc.) and exposure to warehouse operations (forklifts, trucks, construction noise).Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and using a range of vision and motor skills.Competencies :

High School diploma or equivalent required.Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and excellent driving record.Prior sales experience in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred.Fluent in English with professional communication skills.Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time role averaging 40 hours per week. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with occasional duties outside these hours. This position is not eligible for overtime due to its base + commission compensation structure.
