MTB Mechanical, a NearU Company in Matthews, NC is seeking HVAC Change Out Mechanics !

Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Changeout Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the removal and replacement of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, ensuring all work complies with local codes, company standards, and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform complete system changeouts including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and ductwork modifications as needed.

Ensure all HVAC installations meet applicable codes and standards.

Safely remove and dispose of old HVAC equipment and materials.

Communicate with dispatch, project managers, and customers throughout the installation process.

Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of newly installed systems.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Complete all required documentation, including job completion forms and system start-up sheets.

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 2–3 years of HVAC installation experience, specifically with changeouts.

Valid EPA certification.

High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC trade school certification preferred.

Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs., climb ladders, and work in attics and crawl spaces.

Familiarity with hand and power tools used in HVAC installation.

Working Conditions : Full-time position.

Monday–Friday with occasional weekends / overtime.

Outdoor / indoor job sites with variable weather conditions.
