What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll :
- Lead U.S. operational accounting processes including general ledger, intercompany transactions, freight, and management fees (revenue)
- Oversee month-end close activities and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Manage a team of 4 Accounting Managers and guide the broader accounting operations team
- Serve as a key liaison between the accounting function and field operations across multiple business units
- Work cross-functionally with teams in Canada and Mexico to improve process alignment and shared best practices
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives, including cross-functional teams like the Tariff Committee
- Help plan and execute a team-wide workflow restructuring effort to improve efficiency and redistribute responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in succession planning
- Partner with business leaders across five distinct business units in a high-volume, low-margin environment
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and operational accountingProven leadership skills, including managing teams and influencing across departmentsExperience working in $500M+ organizations , ideally in distribution, manufacturing, or retailComfortable navigating large data sets and solving process inefficienciesStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
