Summary

The Marketplace Logistics Analyst is responsible for supporting EDRAY's freight brokerage activities, managing carrier relationships, and optimizing transportation operations. This role requires a keen ability to solve problems, manage stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

The ideal candidate will gain valuable insight into freight brokerage operations, including buy-and-sell activities, accessorial charge coordination, conflict resolution, and route optimization. This position requires occasional after-hours availability for urgent logistics situations.

Responsibilities include :

  • Oversee supply chain processes and container delivery, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Track invoices, analyse shipment statuses, and review delivery routes to optimize performance.
  • Manage freight brokerage activities, including carrier engagement and vendor support.
  • Provide drayage and trucking solutions while ensuring smooth operational execution.
  • Handle conflict resolution and manage stakeholder expectations with DCs, Shippers, Forwarders, and Trucking Companies.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyse logistics data to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to import final mile processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve transportation challenges and improve efficiency.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, OR 1-3 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in freight brokerage, drayage, trucking solutions, and spend management.
  • Desired Skills / Experience :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and resolve freight-related issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
