Certified Tumor Registrar

A company is looking for an Oncology Registrar, Part-Time, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, register, and maintain records of all cancer patients using the IMPAC-MRS system

Perform daily coding and abstracting activities for the Tumor Registry

Abstract information on malignant diseases, including demographics, history, and treatment details

Required Qualifications

Certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (or eligible) from the National Cancer Registrar Association required

Minimum of an Associate Degree or other health information management credentials preferred

Progressive experience in a Tumor Registry, HIM Department, or similar function

Knowledge of FORDS Manual, Collaborative Staging, and Multiple Primaries and Histology Manual required

Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records science
