Must-Have :
High quality Interventional Radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
Ability to explain procedures and put patients at ease.
Ability to perform services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established standards and policies.
Ability to perform tasks independently without routine oversight.
Ability to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under stress.
Ability to effectively administer first aid and use emergency cart.
Ability to ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing courteous service, and reviewing patient satisfaction scores.
Ability to maintain current knowledge and skills appropriate to care for diverse age groups.
Ability to serve as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members.
Ability to take call, if required.
Description :
The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs interventional radiology procedures on patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider.
This is done for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities include :
Performing high quality interventional radiology procedures in a timely manner.
Maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards.
Utilizing effective communication with patients to identify service requirements and establish rapport.
Instructing and communicating with patients regarding the procedure and assessing their ability to tolerate it.
Preparing patients and the area for the procedure by positioning patients and adjusting equipment.
Protecting patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection control, and radiation policies.
Using proper sterile techniques when performing invasive multimodality procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and quality standards of the equipment and work area.
Assisting with maintaining supplies inventory and reporting equipment issues.
Verifying and maintaining all relevant documentation such as requisition, patient history, and consent forms.
Maintaining medical imaging records according to department policies in a timely manner.
The role requires the ability to perform high-quality interventional radiology procedures promptly.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills to explain procedures effectively and alleviate patient concerns.
The position necessitates adherence to safety and infection control standards while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
