Job description

Position : Machine / CNC Operator

Department : Fabrication

Reports to : Fabrication Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Type : Full-time

Hourly Rate Range : $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Shift : Day Shift 5 : 00am to 3 : 30pm M-F

Swing shift hours 3 : 30pm to 2 : 00am M-F with at $3.00 differential.

Specific Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

  • Operate machines according to specifications.
  • Accurately and proper feeds / speeds for material.
  • Read drawings to machine various materials and parts.
  • Set-up and run machinery within given programming requirements.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Understand shop tolerance and code requirements.
  • Complete tasks in an acceptable timeframe and take pride in your work.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Attention to details.
  • Operate a variety of machine shop equipment, CNC, grinder.
  • Can read and interpret blueprints.
  • Can follow processes and procedures.
  • Adaptable to different environments.
  • Function effectively as part of a team.
  • Clean pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Clean background screening that includes previous employment, education, criminal history and driving record verification.

  • Occasionally use of ladders and lifts, some climbing required.
