We are seeking a highly professional Lead Medical Assistant with exceptional customer service skills to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced fertility clinic. This role combines core medical assistant responsibilities with leadership duties, including scheduling, training, and serving as the primary point of contact for the medical assistant team. Key responsibilities include performing medical assistant duties on the floor in a lead capacity, supporting scheduling and training of medical assistant staff, serving as the go-to resource for the medical assistant team, checking patients in and rooming them for appointments, entering patient data into the electronic medical records (EMR) system, conducting phlebotomy procedures and blood draws, and coordinating with onsite providers and responding to patient-related inquiries. Required skills and experience include experience as a Lead Medical Assistant or managerial role, strong phlebotomy skills, experience in a lead or supervisory role, and excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred qualifications include phlebotomy certification, experience working in a fertility clinic or similar fast-paced healthcare setting, and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR / EMR) systems. Based in a busy fertility clinic in Manhattan, the team includes 12 Medical Assistants and 4 Providers, with each provider seeing approximately 15 patients daily. The MondayFriday schedule has start times between 6 : 00 AM and 8 : 00 AM for an 8-hour shift, with opportunities for internal promotion and career growth.
