We are actively seeking Junior Program Analysts to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at the cutting-edge Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Clarksburg, WV. As a Jr. Program Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the timely determination of a person's eligibility to possess firearms or explosives in accordance with federal law. Basic Position Responsibilities :

• Ensure the accuracy of all processing and research in accordance with federally published guidelines.
• Conduct research on explosives permit checks and analyze information for validity.
• Research and analyze criminal backgrounds as part of Firearm Transactions, Explosives Permits, and other various background checks.
• Report any point-of-contact changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate with law enforcement agencies via fax, e-mail, or phone and document communications.
• Evaluate existing procedures and provide recommended actions or solutions.
• Complete necessary document clean-up of existing records to update and / or purge documentation as needed.
