Full Stack Developer

The development work for this position will be on an internal company tool that manages and tests / certifies customer premise equipment and the systems involved in delivery voice, video, and data services to Charter customers.

The front-end is built in React and the back-end is built in NodeJS ( Hapi Framework ). Some services in the back-end are being migrated to a Python FastAPI microservice.

Our team follows agile development processes with 2 week development sprints, standups, retrospectives. We have robust CI / CD processes and deployments including automated linters, code-quality checkers, and tests with about 75% of the back-end code covered by tests and 45% covered by vitest / jest on the front-end.

• Responsibilities :
• Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports software applications.
• Follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs. Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents.
• Reviews functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency.
• Participates in architecture, design and code reviews. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

Required Technical Experience :

• Computer Science Bachelors Degree
• React Front-end Framework : 5+ years of experience
• NodeJS (Express / Hapi or another back-end framework) : 3+ years of experience
• Javascript / Typescript : 5+ years of experience
• Python ( FastAPI Preferred, Django / Flask )
• Relational Databases ( PostGreSQL preferred ) : 3+ years of experience
• Object Oriented Programming : 5+ years of experience
• Software Design Patterns (Specifically implementations in Javascript, React, Python) : 3+ years of experience
• Performing Code Reviews : 5+ years experience
• Designing and Implementing Package / Modules / APIs - experience with creating / publishing npm / yarn packaging and / or python pypi packages
• Jest / ViTest / Playwright / Selenium Experience : 3+ years of experience

Linux Experience : 3+ years of experience

Nice to Have :

• Docker / Podman Experience - Experience working with Containers and deploying via CI / CD
• Websocket Experience : SocketIO
• Golang Experience
• Networking Experience
