• Description : UCHealth Cardiac Surgery Team in Colorado Springs Colorado is actively seeking a skilled motivated Physician Assistant with at least 3 years of cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience and ICU patient management to join their full-time cutting-edge surgical team focused on delivering extraordinary patient care.Job Description : As a Physician Assistant with UCHealth Cardiac Surgery you will : Provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a patient-first approachAssist in complex cardiac surgeries including endoscopic vein harvesting using the Maquet-Getinge system and first assisting in surgical proceduresManage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care including rounding and evaluation of CVICU floor and clinic patientsParticipate in 2 full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed on other daysRotate through operating room coverage Monday through FridayCollaborate with surgeons physicians intensivists and healthcare professionals in a collegial multidisciplinary environmentOrder interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic testsDevelop and implement detailed plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic outcomesOrder medications and write prescriptions per policy and regulationsPerform bedside procedures appropriate for the patient populationEnsure accurate and timely clinical documentationDemonstrate expert clinical judgment and operate independently under physician supervisionComplete ongoing CME to maintain and enhance clinical skillsWork effectively in a fast-paced dynamic clinical setting with changing organizational climateShow flexibility problem-solving ability teamwork and a positive cultural fitNOT DOING ANY LOCUMS OR LOCUMS TO PERMUCHealth clears names system-wide.Unable to support visa candidates for this position.Compensation and Benefits : Competitive salary range : 100588 to 143769 annually commensurate with experienceQuality and productivity bonus potentialRelocation bonus available for eligible candidatesPaid malpractice insuranceGenerous CME allowance for continuing education403b retirement plan with employer matching contributions and optional 457b plaComprehensive benefits package including medical vision dental life and disability insurance dependent coverage includedWellness programs and flexible spending accounts healthcare and dependent careHealth Savings Account option with HD / HSA medical plansAdditional voluntary benefits such as identity theft protection pet insurance and employee discountsPaid time off PTO from start date plus paid family and medical leave inclusive of Colorado FAMLIEducational benefits including tuition reimbursement and paid degrees
