Position Summary
PRAB is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Development & Fundraising Intern to support our growing efforts to secure funding and expand donor engagement. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development, including grant research, donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and the infrastructure that supports long-term financial sustainability.
This is an excellent opportunity for students passionate about nonprofit leadership, social justice, public policy, or philanthropy.
Internship Hours
15-30 hours / week, based on university program requirements and flexible across 2-4 days (between 9 : 00 am-5 : 00 pm). Must be available at least two consistent days per week. In-person participation is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and document prospective funders, grants, and corporate partners aligned with PRAB's mission
- Maintain and update a funder tracking system (Excel, SharePoint, or Airtable)
- Assist with drafting funding descriptions, inquiry emails, and stewardship communications
- Support the planning and execution of donor engagement campaigns
- Conduct background research to inform grant applications and sponsorship pitches
- Collaborate with the CEO or Development Liaison (if appointed) to strengthen PRAB's case for support
