Overview

Rite-Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-level or Senior Software Engineer on-site at Naval Base Ventura County CA (NBVC) in Port Hueneme, CA. The position supports the US Navy's Extra-Large Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (XLUUV) program as part of the Software Support Activity (SSA) tasking led by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport RI. The role involves sustaining and maintaining source code, integrating and testing functionality, adding new functionality, and developing processes for continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) of system software capability for Fleet users. Position requires US Citizenship and an active Secret-level security clearance with the US Government.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Partner with the NUWCDIVNPT Code 45 team to understand, build, integrate and conduct test and evaluation of XLUUV system software delivered with the vehicles.
• Develop, evaluate, and conduct integration testing of XLUUV system software.
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team environment with minimal direction.
• Communicate regularly with functional team leads to ensure effective work partnerships.
• The opportunity exists to grow into a technical leadership role.
