Locum Tenens : Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Physician (Near Bat Cave, NC)

Are you a dedicated and experienced Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Bat Cave, NC? We're searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital care to newborns in our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on a call-only basis (ASAP - Ongoing).

This locum tenens position offers a flexible work schedule with predictable call hours, allowing you to manage your workload effectively while contributing to exceptional care for our most vulnerable patients.

Rewarding & Specialized Practice : Utilize your expertise in neonatal-perinatal medicine to manage the complex needs of premature and critically ill newborns in our dedicated 6-bed NICU. You'll perform admissions, participate in bedside rounds, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes.

Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates) : We understand the importance of timely care and are happy to assist with facilitating temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe varies).
Advanced Technology & Resources : Utilize the user-friendly McKesson Paragon electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication.

Qualifications :

Board-eligible or board-certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required. Fellowship training is preferred.

Active medical license in North Carolina (NC) only is mandatory.

Current certification in BLS is essential.

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Level II or higher NICU setting is preferred.

The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, critical care environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients' families, nurses, and the healthcare team.

A commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality, patient-centered care for critically ill newborns.
