Job descriptionValid driver’s license and clean driving record required to fulfill job duties. Previous experience driving a box truck (or similarly sized vehicle) Strong communication and reliability — punctuality matters! Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet. Interest in learning basic kitchen operations and food handling. $26 / hr - $28 / hr Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with the opportunity for overtime Paid Holidays Off (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) Paid Sick Days with the opportunity to earn additional paid time off Consistent Monday-Friday schedule (occasional weekends for special events) and supportive team environment. Opportunity to grow culinary skills while contributing to a meaningful cause.
We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Driver with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience driving box trucks or similarly sized vehicles in NYC and is comfortable working in a fast-paced culinary environment. Experience in food service is a plus, but a willingness to learn kitchen basics is a must.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport food and supplies between locations across NYC.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle and maintaining accurate delivery and maintenance logs.
- Support kitchen prep, packaging, serving and light cleaning during non-driving hours.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
- Follow all food safety and handling procedures.
