Overview

Communication & Outreach Specialist at the University of New Mexico – Anderson School of Management. The position reports to the Communication and Events Operations Manager and will develop communication content distributed through multiple channels to convey the opportunities offered by Anderson. The Anderson School of Management is a world-class business school with award-winning faculty and programs, offering a wide array of degree programs for a diverse student population. The successful candidate will have a passion for writing, curiosity, and the ability to work with a team to promote Anderson’s activities and opportunities.

The role focuses on creating and promoting communications that demonstrate the value of Anderson and support its programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and review public relations materials for Anderson, including fact sheets, articles, newsletter content, and speeches.
• Collaborate with the Communications and Events team and Anderson leadership to develop a library of content that demonstrates the value offered by Anderson.
• Conduct interviews and write compelling articles featuring a diverse range of individuals (students, staff, faculty, alumni, external collaborators).
• Learn and understand the mission of the various programs within Anderson to support their activities through targeted promotional materials and follow-up articles.
