Volt is hiring Quality Assurance Lead Technician  for 1st shift for a leading Food Manufacturing Company in Fullerton, CA.

As a Quality Assurance Lead Technician  you will :

  • Ensure production meets customer, regulatory, and certification standards.
  • Support internal / external audits (GMP, organic, documentation, etc.).
  • Monitor production and escalate quality / food safety issues.
  • Verify CCPs, OPRPs, and PRPs; manage lab testing and quality data.
  • Calibrate lab equipment and maintain records.
  • Manage day to day personnel
  • Maintain strong floor presence for real-time quality and sanitation checks.
  • Manage daily cross department engagement across warehouse, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Coordinate rework and product holds with production and QA teams.
  • Uphold sanitation, safety, and audit-readiness standards.
  • Lead and execute quality initiatives, as needed
  • Foster a strong food safety culture through training and coaching.
  • Assist with onboarding and GMP / hygiene training.
  • Promote and model occupational safety practices.

This is a Full-Time Temp to Hire  Position

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years in food / beverage manufacturing (juice or liquid processing preferred).
  • PCQI, Internal Auditor, or Food Defense certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Understand of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Proficiency with computers systems and documentation
  • Comfortable overseeing a team of employees and addressing concerns directly
  • Able to take corrective actions
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Ability to work Overtime and Saturdays as needed
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday 6am-2 : 30pm (Overtime as requested + Saturdays as needed)

  • Must be comfortable with working 10 hours days during busy season
  • Pay : $26-$28 per hour
