Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Seattle, Washington. One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Summary : The Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures in the IR lab. This role involves pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure monitoring, sedation administration, and post-procedure recovery management. The IR Nurse works closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal procedural outcomes.
Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care
Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Technical / Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push / pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and / or using department equipment
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
