Job descriptionBonuses : Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight Settlement paid weekly / direct deposit available Run under Gulf Winds authority Fuel discount program Private Gulf Winds Chassis (owns 2,900) Best in class driver retention Best in class equipment : LEDs, radial tires, tire inflation systems Free parking Consistent, year-round freight 24 / 7 Dispatch Pre-dispatch Daily No forced dispatch Tire discounts available Home daily with one 2-day run per week Routes : local and regional, out and back from Savannah Level of touch : 75% drop and pick / hook Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection Must have a valid CDL A License Minimum 21 years of age Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years TWIC / HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months. No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and / or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years Must live within 60 Miles of Savannah, GA
Gulf Winds is seeking Owner Operators for its location in Savannah, GA. Gulf Winds serves the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation industries and offers CDL-A owner operators consistently high volumes of work. Plus, you'll stay close to your starting point, making your runs and home time dependable.
Compensation :
- Average Weekly Pay : $4,000 + FSC
Fuel surcharge paid off gross (% of load)
