Job Summary :

Van Collision Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry with a competitive compensation range of $80,000 to $130,000 per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, restoring and refinishing damaged vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

We are not looking for a "job hopper". Our turnover in this dealership is far below industry standard and we want to keep it that way. We are a BUSY shop. We are a Subaru Certified Collision Center as well as Chevrolet and Cadillac. We have great relationships with all the BIG DRP's. You will NEVER be out of work here!

Successful Track Record / Knowledge Required

Responsibilities :

  • Perform body and structural repairs on damaged vehicles using appropriate tools, equipment, and parts
  • Follow manufacturer and industry guidelines for all repairs and refinishing
  • Accurately diagnose and assess damage on vehicles and provide detailed repair estimates
  • Continuously monitor and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the work area
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure high-quality repairs
  • Requirements :

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a body shop technician or apprentice
  • Knowledge of various repair and refinishing techniques for different types of vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license. Background check and drug screen is required
  • Good communication and customer service skills
