Night Shift Med / Surg Registered Nurse (Hiring Immediately)

Unit Description : We are looking for night Registered Nurses to join our bustling med / surg unit at Porter Medical Center! Right now, we are mainly interested in candidates who have at least 1 year of hospital experience. Bonus points if you are interested in working as a charge shift RN, which comes with a $3 / hour charge shift differential.

We also have per diem openings.

Porter Medical Center is a small but mighty hospital. Although we are located in the small, quintessential New England town of Middlebury, VT, we are a high critical and acute care hospital; our med / surg unit will certainly not keep you bored and will help you utilize and practice a myriad of your nursing skills. Our birthing center is top-notch, averaging about 400 births a year. We serve surgical patients, chronic patients, and have a progressive care unit. This position is fully benefit eligible, including medical, dental, vision, 403(b), short term / long term disability, CTO, and we invest in our employee's educational growth. Our RN positions are also unionized.

Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.

BLS required, ACLS for specific departments

At least 1 year of hospital nursing experience

On-call : Not required.

Incentives : $20,000 for night shift, $3 / hour Charge shift differential, $5 / hour night shift differential, $2 / hour weekend shift differential, and $9,200 relocation bonus for relocating RNs.

Requirements :

Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.

Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
