The Impact You Will Have In This Role
Being a member of the Enterprise Digital Solutions (EDS) Team, the Product Owner will translate the vision into a roadmap made up of squad deliverables to achieve the business strategy while enhancing value to the client. This is done through leading scope and the product backlog in collaboration with the squad, Product Manager, key stakeholders (internal and external to EDS), and clients / end-users (targeted personas). The role will support design thinking and process and decision modeling using automation compliant methodologies and tools. The Product Owner Associate Director will create detailed process documentation to support process reimagination and deliver best in class client experience by incorporating customer journeys across our product portfolio.
Your Primary Responsibilities
Analyze current state of product offering, defining business processes, codifying business rules by using innovative design tools and methodologies. Lead by collaborating with internal resources (Product managers, Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Development and QA Analysts) to create solutions that meet business needs in an Agile settingOwnership of the capabilities and roadmap of the platform from a value perspectiveEngage business and technical collaborators to plan development milestones, release artifacts and updating existing operating modelsEnsure compliance with applicable standards, procedures and guidelines during development and maintenance activitiesDefine product vision and break the roadmap into squad deliverables and release plansCreate and refine the backlog with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready. Decompose requirements into stories, uncover workflows, data and business rules and define acceptance criteriaContinuously accept or reject completed work, according to the acceptance criteria and definition of doneSeek feedback from partners and clients and incorporate into future backlog itemsBring the voice of the client into the squad and the voice of the squad to the organizationCultivate partnerships to maintain alignment with strategic objectivesEvaluate shared issues, risks, and dependencies for resolutionPrioritize work in support of delivery best practices and to deliver on release objectivesIncrease delivered value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering cost, schedule, and riskConduct walkthroughs of products and present product releases to large forums, articulating the business value and promoting adoptionAttend and participate in squad and tribe meetings, collaborating and providing thought leadership to support DTCC objectivesDevelop presentations related to the body of work for leadership consumptionNOTE : The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of related experienceBachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experienceHands-on knowledge and experience in Agile ways of working (Kanban and Scrum) requiredProven experience in Product Ownership & Business Analysis rolesProficiency with JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Process Mapping toolsExperience in creating high quality presentation decks by converting data into logical storiesStrong attention to detail and high accuracy in delivering outputsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience presenting to senior leadershipTalents Needed For Success
Self-starter with ability to prioritize, own and drive projects, and quickly learn new conceptsExperience communicating with stakeholders across technology, clients, finance, integration, and operations to create user stories and deliver solutionsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesKnowledge of financial services operations and technology; experience in banking, capital markets, or financial operations is a plusThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
