Clinical Director
The Clinical Director will provide leadership and oversight of all Child & Adolescent and Supported Employment (SEP) programs within Trilogy. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, evidence-based clinical care; supervising and developing program staff; and expanding the reach of services through increased client engagement, strengthened referral pipelines, and robust community partnerships. The Clinical Director will play a key role in aligning program growth with Trilogy’s mission to improve the mental health and well-being of children, youth, adults and families. They will oversee programs at multiple locations that serve both adults and youth, including but not limited to, Child and Adolescent Services, Supported Employment (SEP), Mental Health Juvenile Justice (MHJJ), First Episode Psychosis (FEP), Psychological Testing, and be accountable for contractual staff contributing to programming. The clinical director will be responsible for overseeing coordination of key evidence-based practices, tracking outcomes, and reporting on grant funded initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and direction for all Child & Adolescent mental health programs, Supported Employment programs, and other assigned programming; ensuring services are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the number of clients served, including innovative service delivery models and outreach efforts.
- Increase family programming, parent coaching services, and Trilogy presence specific to school‑based therapy programming.
- Manage communication regarding capacity in programs within the organization and adjust employee schedules accordingly to ensure enough time is scheduled to meet direct service requirements.
- Recruit, hire, and train program managers, therapists, and administrative staff to meet ongoing capacity needs.
- Monitor program outcomes, client satisfaction, and compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations such as CARF, Medicaid, CCBHC, and other governing bodies.
- Develop and implement systems to increase department efficiency, e.g. increase immediate access to services, respond to high‑needs clients, manage internal referrals, and meet metrics for payers.
- Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with schools, healthcare providers, hospitals, child welfare agencies, juvenile justice programs, priority partners, FQHCs, and other community stakeholders.
- Represent the agency at community meetings, coalitions, and events to raise visibility and strengthen partnerships.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to align program development with strategic goals and funding priorities.
- Directly supervise, guide and mentor program leadership and provide clinical consultation and case review as needed.
- Ensure leadership in each program reviews organizational policies and procedures; and understand duties, projects, and priorities of the departments and communicates effectively with teams and individuals.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth‑oriented team culture.
- Develop and maintain communication and safety protocols of service provision.
- Support grant writing and oversee the implementation of special projects, grants, and new programming.
- Ensure completion of program reporting requirements, track and report on agency spending, program performance, and outcomes for specialized grant services, and attend meetings by grant funders.
- Serve as Quality Assurance monitor ensuring that services are provided in accordance with regulations, agency expectations and accrediting bodies guidelines.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and work groups as needed.
- Provide on‑call coverage as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and / or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Independent clinical licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Illinois required.Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.Experience in treating SMI preferred.Minimum 5 years of clinical and supervisory experience in child / adolescent mental health.Demonstrated experience in program growth, community engagement, and partnership development.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Experience leading teams / programs situated in multiple locations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Contract and grant management skills preferred.Experience in community‑based services preferred.Valid Illinois driver’s license with daily access to a well‑maintained vehicle with $100,000 / $300,000 liability insurance.IM+CANS certification preferred and required to obtain IM+CANS certification within 30 days of hire.Benefits
