CVICU Nursing Job Details Location : Rochester, Michigan 48307 (Metro Detroit area) Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Type : Travel Nurse Contract Start Date : December 8, 2025 End Date : March 7, 2026 Nursing Shift : 7 : 00pm - 7 : 30am (12-hour night shifts) Schedule : 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2230 - $2290 Time Off : 1 week of requested time off allowed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license from the Michigan State Board of Nursing Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Proficiency with Cerner EMR, Impella, and IABP cardiac devices Recent open-heart surgery patient care experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program Strong clinical and communication skills CVICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to CVICU patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac support devices (Impella, IABP) Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Document and communicate patient and family information accurately Educate and support patients and their families regarding cardiovascular conditions and treatments Participate in problem-solving and implement solutions for patient care variances Work one holiday and every other weekend as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Rochester, Michigan!
