An established occupational health clinic that is a member of the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC) and that offers a broad range of occupational health services to workers, employers, and other clients from across the region as well as professional physician services at selected plant-based facilities;One of only two ACGME-accredited occupational medicine residency programs in Texas and U.S. Public Health Region 6, and is partially supported through a NIOSH Training Project Grant as well as CMMS-capped GME positions;A newly established public health / general preventive medicine residency in a sister Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health;A robust portfolio of grants, contracts, and research initiatives in related occupational, environmental, and public health disciplines (e.g., occupational respiratory diseases).
