Tack Truck Driver

The Tack Truck Driver is responsible for operating a specialized truck that sprays tack coat onto surfaces before paving. Duties & Responsibilities include :

• Operate the Tack Truck in a safe manner.
• Perform daily pre / post trip inspections and maintenance of equipment.
• Load the tack truck with oil.
• Fill asphalt and burner tanks, clean and set spray bars, and clean excess asphalt out of tanks.
• Before heating the tack, ensure that all valves are in the off position, and the oil is completely covering the heating pipes.
• Constantly monitor temperature and heat the oil to the recommended temperature.
• Spray tack in designated areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
