Shipping Associate

Position Title : Shipping Associate, 2nd Shift

Pay Rate : Starting rate is $22.63 / hr. plus shift differential & bonuses. Shift differential for 2nd shift is $0.35 / hour.

Sign-on and Retention Bonus : $500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years.

Category / Shift : Hourly Full-Time, 2nd Shift (3pm 11pm with additional overtime as assigned)

The Job You Will Perform :

• Operate lift trucks in a safe and effective manner
• Ensure correct product is sent through appropriate production line
• Ensure correct strapping patterns for product, and that loads are strapped with proper dunnage according to instructions and customer-specific requests
• Monitor loads and notify supervisor regarding any product issues
• Monitor take-off line following strapping process, and load material onto designated trucks, requiring accurate record of load tallies
• Transporting product to the appropriate areas of the warehouse as needed
• Load warehoused product from the warehouse to the loading dock, as well as receive product from incoming trucks, sign for the receipt of it, and transport to designated department
• Turn in proper paperwork to the shipping office
• Rotate as needed between strapper position, take-off line lift truck and floor driver lift truck operation procedures
• Sweep trailers and floor areas
• Complete a daily safety check list, change propane tanks, and check the fluids and air filters on their lift truck
