What You’ll Be Doing

As our Assistant Controller / Accountant, you’ll play a key role in financial operations, supporting multiple entities and partnering closely with leadership.

  • Lead the monthly close process, journal entries, and revenue recognition
  • Prepare P&L statements, WIP reports, and consolidated financials
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and job costing efforts
  • Develop and maintain complex Excel-based financial reports and dashboards
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff
  • Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with business units to drive smart financial decisions

    • What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (HVAC, construction, or service-based industry preferred)
  • Experience leading or mentoring accounting teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, WIP accounting, and multi-entity structures
  • Solid ERP experience (NetSuite or similar a big plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating, analyzing, and automating detailed financial reports
  • Analytical thinker with strong communication and business sense
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • CPA or Master’s in Accounting / Finance (preferred, not required)
