Job Description

Research & Innovation at the University of Nevada Reno has an opening for a student employee. This position will provide an opportunity to gain experience in basic office operations and business environment.

This position will perform various clerical and accounting duties and serve as the receptionist as needed.

Responsibilities

Answering phones taking messages transferring calls and handling office reception of guests and the incoming mail

Routing copying scanning and delivering documents that come through Research & Innovations various departments across campus

Processing day-to-day financial transactions and preparing financial reports as directed

Reconciliation of department purchasing card and coordinating travel arrangements and expenses

Creating and maintaining basic Excel spreadsheets and Word documents

Other duties of this nature as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada Reno

Candidate must have good communication skills

Candidate must have the ability to follow direction

Candidate must have adaptive learning capabilities

Candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality

Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a professional office environment

Students eligible for the Work-Study program are preferred
