The contract lasts for 12 weeks, working night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1 : 4. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The unit focuses on patients waiting for admission into the hospital from the emergency department. Care begins in the emergency department until beds become available. The role requires proficiency in managing various medical equipment and protocols. Candidates must be able to access and manage ports and perform blood product administration. Experience in telemetry and managing cardiac drips is essential. The nurse will provide care in a fast-paced environment and must float within the service line as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Travelers are welcome, and new graduates with the required experience will be considered. Candidates must successfully pass a designated EKG exam prior to starting. The position requires adherence to all safety protocols.
