What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategies for customs duty optimization based on detailed analysis of current processes, industry trends, and regulatory changes
- Oversee and audit the preparation and filing of duty drawback claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customs duty processes to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
- Collaborate with business units, tax, and compliance teams to achieve organizational objectives and maintain regulatory compliance
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports on customs duty processes, costs, and optimization efforts
- Interpret and apply complex laws and regulations to business operations, providing expert advice to internal stakeholders
- Design and execute compliance processes, policies, and training programs to ensure adherence to external regulatory frameworks
- Identify and escalate commercial or financial risks, supporting effective risk management
- Serve as a primary contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely filing of all required reports
- Continuously seek process improvements and leverage technology to enhance compliance and operational efficiency
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field1+ years of experience in international trade, customs duty programs, or regulatory complianceFinancial acumen including and understanding of financial principles and practices especially as they relate to import / export and customs dutiesStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiencesDemonstrated ability to manage complexity, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with compliance and customs duty software / toolsHigh attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrityAbility to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and accountabilityWhat Makes You Stand Out
