Responsibilities Work in a multidisciplinary ICU caring for neurological, neurosurgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Assignment length is 8 weeks Uses advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, ventricular drains, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO / tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and infusion pumps Cerner EMR is used and experience is required Responsible for providing comprehensive care to a diverse population of critically ill patients using various advanced technologies Two professional references from supervisors or managers within the last 12 months preferred Team delivers care according to licensure, certification, and regulatory standards Must be able to perform physically demanding patient care tasks in a high acuity environment Requirements Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 3 years ICU experience required Current certifications in NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS (AHA only) Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required Cerner EMR experience required CPI certification mandated by position BSN highly desired Must have at least 2 years' hospital experience in the US in assigned specialty area Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals considered except GWUH at 25 miles) US Social Security Number required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633309.
