Unit Information : (Neonatal Occ Therapist -76609) Location : Medical City Dallas / Medical City Children s Hospital Address : 7777 Forest Lane Floor : 4th Floor Building : building E General Information Tell us about the unit(s) : Number of Beds 75 to 100 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Number of Staff 3-4 OTs / STs entire dept for PT / OT / ST with over 65 staff members Type of staff : Day Shift Occupational therapist, speech therapist, and physical therapists Night Shift - none Patient Ratios 1- to 12 patients per therapist Type of equipment Dr. Brown bottles, position equipment, specialty feeders EMR Meditech On Call Requirement no Floating Requirement float to Pediatric Cardiac ICU and Pediatric units if NICU census / case load is low Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for : (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Neonatal ICU experience at a level III or IV Neonatal feeding and swallowing experience Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. Same as above List typical procedures performed on unit(s) : Neonatal feeding Neonatal developmental care, positioning, parent education, developmental interventions Best personality Fit : Positive, calm under pressure, builds relationships quickly Confident in skills and abilities, Does not take thing personally Unit Guidelines / Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
