Recreational Therapist - PACE

Description $5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests / needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her / his assigned group of participants. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree Recreation Therapy Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Upon hire : Washington Recreational Therapist Registration Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification - if practicing within this state Preferred Qualifications : 2 years Providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.
