Location : Plano, TX

Work Type : Onsite 5 Days / Week (No remote or relocation)

Job Type : Contract (1+ Year)

Rate : $65-68 / hour W2 (Flexible for strong candidates)

    • Job Description :

    Join the Commercial & Investment Bank Data Platforms team at JPMorgan Chase as a Senior Data Engineer , responsible for designing and delivering trusted data pipelines, transformation logic, and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in SQL / NoSQL , Big Data / Spark , and Java or Python , along with a solid background in financial services or capital markets .

    Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions for analytics and reporting
  • Apply quality assurance best practices across the full data lifecycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data integration and transformation
  • Review data controls and update data models based on evolving business use cases
  • Design, implement, and optimize large-scale data systems
  • Leverage SQL, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and cloud data services for end-to-end solutions
  • Support data security, validation, and infrastructure reliability

    • Required Skills :

  • 10+ years in Data Engineering
  • Strong experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
  • 5+ years of Big Data technologies : Spark, Hive, Kafka, etc.
  • Proficient in Java or Python
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or capital markets
  • Hands-on with statistical analysis, scripting, and data modeling
  • Experience working onsite in high-pressure environments

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with AWS cloud-based data services
  • Familiarity with DynamoDB or Cassandra
  • Experience in Commercial & Investment Banking environments
