Job descriptionProvides mental health services in accordance to agency policies and procedures as well as within their scope of practice. Demonstrates knowledge of the Diagnostic Manual Edition 5 (ICD-10). Reviews and responds to electronic and hand written mail, phone calls, and other correspondence timely(within 24 hours or next available business day). Maintains chart compliance through routine chart audits for quality assurance of services provided. Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing community resources as supportive services and discharge planning. Serves as a liaison for the client, family, referral source and other social service agencies. Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of eitherpsychiatric, substance use and / or medical symptoms. Represents the agency in community events and providers’ meetings. Follows Agency’s policies and procedures. Other tasks as assigned. Minimum of Master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing or related human services. Must have Multicultural awareness and procedural knowledge of DSM-V. Must maintain training requirements of 30 hours annually and the CEU’s for professional license (if applicable). Valid Tennessee Driver License. Abuse registry and TBI clearance. Active professional license to practice in the State of TN (if applicable). Must maintain a safe driving record with no more than 4 points on the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Being aware of other’s reactions and understanding why they react the way they do. Actively looking for ways to help develop constructive and productive relations with others.(Engaging) Presents in a professional manner in the community, in person, on telephone and in written communication. Implements active listening skills. Teaches and models positive parenting skills. Implements knowledge of child development. Implements knowledge of various treatment modalities and interventions. Implements knowledge of child abuse and neglect laws. Displays crisis intervention skills and follows established procedures. Entering, recording, storing or maintaining information in written or electronic format abiding by program requirements. Knowledge of English grammar and syntax. Computer literate and proficiency to internet, EMR systems, and email. Ability to articulate sessions clearly and accurately. Adjust treatment plans and strategies as indicated by progress notes. Reports and documents incidents following established procedure.
Under the Clinical Director’s leadership, the clinician is responsible for providing mental health counseling to children, adolescents, adults and / or families at the office or via telehealth using evidenced based treatment modalities. This contractor collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team to formulate the individualized treatment plan, to review the treatment plan, and assists with coordinating discharge planning. The principal functions of the position identified shall not be considered as a complete description of all the work requirements and expectations that may be inherent in the position.
This position is full-time or part-time in terms of caseload
- We pay high to accommodate for the fact it isn't salary based. Everyone can make their own schedule and will be treated as is if this is their private practice. You have access to the office as you please, while we do all the marketing and billing for you!
