We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations within our organization in Midland, Texas. This role requires someone who is skilled at managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in cost accounting, team leadership, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and manage all general ledger accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee the completion of month-end and year-end financial closings, maintaining timeliness and precision.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and ensure proper general ledger coding.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and development.
• Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
• Assist with tax filings and preparation, adhering to all applicable regulations.
• Monitor inventory variances and implement solutions to address discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain detailed monthly financial reports for management review.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal financial compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial compliance.
• Extensive experience with audits and tax preparation.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams effectively.
• Familiarity with ERP system implementation or upgrades is a plus.
• Previous involvement in acquisitions and data conversion is highly desirable.
