SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design & manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry and the world's leading aircraft jet engine & gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location.

Key Responsibilities :

Metallographic sample preparation as per national & international standards

Metallurgical testing like microstructure rating, carbide rating, grain size, retained austenite measurement, residual stress measurement etc.

Mechanical testing e.g. Rockwell Hardness, Vickers & Micro Vickers Hardness Test etc.

Chemical analysis on Optical Emission Spectrometer

Maintaining lab cleanliness, reordering supplies, maintaining lab samples & lab records.

Implement and uphold the 5S methodology to maintain an organized and efficient production environment.

Enforce company safety policies rigorously, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.

Job Requirements :

The position requires a minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field. Courses in chemistry, metallurgy, and Heat Treatment are preferred.

Two to Three (3) years' experience in engineering or a manufacturing environment.

Basic computer skills in MS Access, Word, Excel.

Must have the ability to work as part of a team.

Fluency in the English language
