Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We're currently seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our amazing team.

Details of the Emergency Medicine NP / PA opening :

Start date : As soon as Credentialed
1099 position (must have your own liability and TAIL insurance)
Pay rate : $95+ / hr
Full Time Shifts : Night Availability is a must

Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Emergency Medicine NP / PA :

Provide healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures and practices within Emergency Medicine.

Obtain detailed history and perform physical or psychological examinations.

Perform or order X-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures, and interprets results.

Administer such therapeutic procedures as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care.

Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or medical procedures.

Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care and health maintenance.

Evaluate outcomes of direct patient care and consult with other specialists as required.

Maintain required records and write progress notes on patient charts as to status, treatments and procedures.

Provide preventative health care services to long-term patients and arrange consultations and referrals.

Qualifications for the Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner :

Master's Degree in Nursing

Active NP license

MUST have two years of Emergency Medicine experience

Active certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

ATLS is mandatory (must have in order to be hired)

Qualifications for the Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant :

Bachelor's degree in Health Science

Active certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as a "Physician Assistant-Certified" (PA-C)

MUST have two years of Emergency Medicine experience

Active certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

ATLS is mandatory (must have in order to be hired)
