Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

6 month- Contract | Bakersfield, CA | $70 / hr | 1099 Independent Contractor

About the Opportunity

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Bakersfield, CA . This 6 month-contract offers an excellent opportunity to work independently while making a meaningful difference in patients' communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain timely records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies

Qualifications

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or geriatric experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and patient-centered professional

    • Compensation

  • $70 / hr (1099 Independent Contractor)
  • Weekly direct deposit
