Job Overview

Manufacturing Engineering related activities including, but not limited to, processes, procedures, routing, manpower requirements, standards, layout, tooling / fixtures, equipment purchases that provide method improvements and cost reduction opportunities. Coordinate capital plan projects, SVC generation and review, including improved process flow in Fabrication and Assembly through shipping operations as well as supporting material flow and systems from warehouse to line side delivery. Purpose of this position is to support and foster continuous improvement of all aspects of all manufacturing processes at NMO.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Organize and control tooling and equipment purchases to improve methods and process flow for existing models and / or new models including designing small jigs and fixtures for improvements.
• Review manufacturing routings to coordinate manufacturing flow and report proper costing and coordinate introduction of Engineering Change Notices.
• Develop manpower requirements in all areas of the manufacturing to support changing production volumes and assist with proper manning levels.
• Ensure sub-assembly and main line stations are balanced operations and standard times are reviewed for accuracy.
