This position supports the development of aircraft cabin interior structures as a stress analyst. Duties include performing analyses for metallic or composite cabin interior structures to ensure compliance to company requirements and regulatory standards. Methods include the use of both classical hand calculations and computer techniques to develop high strength to weight ratio structures.

If you’re interested in designing, creating, and testing the present and future of Airbus products across the globe, join our mission to connect the world.The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.Autonomously perform routine to moderate detailed stress analysis of cabin or cargo components, by classical hand analysis as well as Finite Element methods, to support the structural design efforts of new and modified components from the conceptual phase to development and certification.Perform review of supplier stress substantiation reports to ensure compliance to aircraft design requirementsCoordinate with design engineers, suppliers and technical leads to assure that the design meets the project deliverables timeline by providing analysis to support releases.Create and deliver technical documents and presentations with limited direction.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Civil Engineering)7+ years experience in design and analysis with cabin and cargo and / or system installation projects.10% travel (Domestic and International) involvedCitizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license), Authorized to work in the US.Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures and bill of material systems to develop project plans.Basic knowledge of Regulatory Requirements pertaining to aircraft design, certification and maintenance.Capable of creating and delivering technical documents and presentations without guidance.Onsite or remote : 100% onsite
