Weekend, on call, and at least one day / night per week availability

The Echocardiography Diagnostic Technician performs complete echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, two-dimension and Doppler Echocardiography on clinical and / or research patients. Assists the Cardiologist, Fellows or other appropriate personnel in performing trans esophageal echocardiographic and stress echocardiographic examinations. He / she may also assist in coordinating efficient patient flow, staff assignments, educational support and highest quality procedures consistent with IAC standards for Echocardiography.

Education : High school diploma and completion of a two-year echocardiography training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or cardiovascular technology program accredited by the CAAHEP. AND Experience : 1+ year¿'s echocardiogram experience preferred. Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Within 1 year of hire employee must complete registration by a national certification organization such as American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
