Location : Venice, CA

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Belles Beach House is looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team in Venice, CA. If you thrive in a high-energy, hospitality-driven environment and have a love for creating exceptional dining experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Sous Chef , you’ll play a key role in leading our back-of-house team, ensuring smooth daily operations, and delivering high-quality dishes that keep our guests coming back. You'll oversee kitchen staff, maintain top-tier cleanliness and food safety standards, and bring creativity to our evolving menu.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of service.
  • Maintain high standards of food preparation, safety, and sanitation.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Assist with menu development and introduce new creative dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2-3 years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong skills in menu planning, kitchen operations, and team leadership .
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Food Handling Certificate and completion of in-house Sous Chef training (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in kitchen technology, POS systems, and inventory management .
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
