Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least 2 years of IR or Cath Lab experience and active IN or Compact RN licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Interventional Radiology (IR) department of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Patients include those requiring heart catheterizations, interventional radiology procedures, and minor cardiac ablations
  • Siemens lab equipment is used in this unit
  • Charting is done using Cerner EMR and proficiency is required
  • Day shift (4x10 hours), 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
  • Call is required, including every 4th weekend and one night per week, with a 30-minute response time
  • Floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
  • Duties include circulating during procedures, supporting heart caths, and minor cardiac ablations
  • All travelers required to float as needed within the hospital or to affiliate locations
  • First time travelers are accepted
  • Any former perm or PRN employee must be separated from IU Health for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
  • Candidates are required to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the assignment
  • Free parking is available
  • Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off (RTO) can be auto-approved; more requires facility approval
  • IN RN travel ban does not apply to Periop / OR, IR RN, Cath Lab RN, Endo, PACU, and SDS travelers

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active IN or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Minimum of 2 years of IR or Cath Lab RN experience
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
  • Must provide 2 supervisor references
  • Cerner EMR charting experience preferred
  • IN residents living within 50 miles are considered local and are eligible
